What I Buy

Brands of GF Premade Bread:

1.     Franz Gluten Free- This is seriously the best gluten free bread I have tasted in my 5 years of eating GF. It tastes like regular bread. They have regular white sandwich bread and 7 grain. My favorite is the 7 Grain. It has so much good stuff in it and it tastes so good! It costs about $6.49 we watched for a sale and got it for $5.25 and bought 4 loafs and froze them. This bread is defiantly worth the extra money! I actually want to eat sandwiches now!

2.     Udies- this brand is Gluten Free specific. They make a lot of GF products. Their bread is good. It is a small loaf though. They make a multigrain, and a white bread. I love their bagels though! They have multigrain, plain, and cinnamon raisin. They also make hot dog and hamburger buns that are really good. They make premade frozen pizza crusts that are nice for a fast, good meal. I also just found out that they make French bread dinner roles that are premade and frozen. All you have to do is heat them up. They are really good.
3.     Rudies- This brand tastes a lot like Udies (and even sound the same). They only make bread though. They have a white and multigrain on as well. It is almost the same price as Udies but their loafs are a little bit bigger.

Homemade Breads

1.     Sunflower Mills- I love their bread mix, it is really good. It is a multigrain mix. It has some protein in it, which is nice for us gluten free people. It is a little price though. It is about $7 a box, and you have to make it. If you have a good bread machine it is really easy to make. Mine has a gluten free setting, which makes it really easy as well.
2.     Bob’s Red Mill- I made this bread before there was any really good premade breads. I buy the sandwich bread mix.

Pastas

1. Heartland- This is a newer GF pasta. I first tasted it when I went to the Old Spaghetti Factory, this is the pasta they serve there for the GF customers. It is really good! They sell it at Broluims in Rexburg, and in Super Wallmarts. It is not expensive either.
2. Tinkyada- This is another of my favorite pastas. They have all different types of pastas. They are made out of brown rice, so they are pretty healthy for you! The key to cooking this pasta is to use 2x as much water as normal pasta, and watch it closely.

Things that Make My Gluten-free Life Easier

1. Shirley J
It is a universal cooking base. It makes amazing creamy soups (broccoli cheese, loaded baked potato, cream of chicken, etc.), gravies, Alfredo sauce, beef stroganoff, and other amazing things. It only took me 10 minutes to make a broccoli cheese soup the other night! They also have a bunch of seasonings that are gluten free like onion (great for roasts, and meets), chicken and beef bullion, pizza and pasta seasoning, and BBQ. It is an awesome product! Here is the website take a look. You can buy the products directly from this sight.
